Britney Spears has allegedly snubbed Victoria Beckham.
The "Toxic" singer is said to have stormed out of the restaurant at Hollywood's Chateau Marmont hotel when she was offered a table next to the Spice Girl and her husband David Beckham on July 24
A witness told the New York Daily News newspaper: "Britney Spears turned up at the Chateau and the only table available was the one next to Posh.
"But Britney didn't want to sit next to her, so she and her friend stormed off to Il Sole instead."
However other reports claim it was Victoria who snubbed Britney.
One diner told Closer magazine: "Britney walked in and sat next to Victoria and David. Victoria was fuming and got up, practically dragging David with her.
"She told staff it was ridiculous to think she'd want to be near 'that mess' Britney.
"It's not a good move for anyone."
Victoria is said to have angered staff at the hip Los Angeles hangout - who do their utmost to keep the star-filled venue private and paparazzi free.
A source said: "She always lets the paparazzi know when she'll be arriving.
"The Chateau Marmont tries to give celebrities their privacy, and they hate her there. They like David though."

Now the tabloid headlines are dominated by the out-of-control antics of young women. After a week in which Lindsay Lohan was arrested (again) and Britney Spears suffered another public meltdown, the Bad Boys of Hollywood have turned into Bad Girls; the Brat Pack has become the Britney Pack.
That there has been a huge gender shift is in little doubt. There is simply no male star in America who can compete with the hard-partying and jail-hopping activities of the young women who now dominate US tabloid press and cable television. It is all women, all the time.
From genuine Hollywood stars such as Lohan and once-fine singers like Spears to fame-seeking missiles such as heiress Paris Hilton and her sidekick Nicole Richie, the emphasis is on sex, booze, drugs, arrests and stints in jail.
"It seems like there has been a explosion of this sort of behaviour with our younger women stars,' said Gayl Murphy, a celebrity interviewer who has written a book on how stars should deal with the press.
The roll call of misbehaviour is staggering.
Last week alone witnessed Lohan's dramatic high arrest in the small hours for allegedly drink-driving at high speeds. Apparently she was chasing another car through the streets of Los Angeles. Police found cocaine in her trouser pocket, and a mugshot of a bleary-eyed Lohan then made front pages around the world, she could now face some serious jail time.
But she was far from alone in the headlines. Spears's antics actually dumped Lohan off the front pages by the weekend after OK! magazine published lurid details of a photo-shoot they had conducted with the singer. Spears, apparently under the influence of drugs, ruined the expensive clothes she was wearing for the shoot when she wiped her hands on them after eating a meal, then her dog relieved itself on a $6,700 gown.
OK!s description of the experience contained several sentences that no PR handler would ever want to see, including: "Britney... used the restroom repeatedly without bothering to close the door." Finally, the session collapsed in chaos as Spears and her staff fled still wearing thousands of dollars' worth of clothing and jewelery.
"What we experienced was a young girl who is desperately in need of help," the magazine wrote.
Though last week was a low point in terms of Hollywood bad girls' misbehaving, it has hardly been uncommon. There was the tragic recent death of Anna Nicole Smith after an apparent drugs overdose.

Women have started playing roles in movies usually associated with men (such as action stars).
On US television the number of programs based around strong female roles has jumped massively. Perhaps it is no surprise that some women are also following the paths blazed by the more notorious past male stars and behaving badly too.
At the same time there is a wider social acceptance of bad behaviour by young American girls. The nation is confronting social angst over millions of young women's drinking habits, with the antics of Lohan and Spears reflecting the behaviour patterns of wider US society.

Mena Suvari does a bald Britney act
London, Aug 4: It seems Mena Suvari has got inspired by Britney Spears' bald look, for the actress has shaven off her long, blonde, flowing locks.
The actress who is known for playing schoolgirl Angela Hayes in the 1999 Oscar-winning 'American Beauty' was spotted in her new bald look while lunching with pals in Beverly Hills.
To add to her style, the 29-year-old donned large sunglasses, hooped earrings and draped an army-style jacket around her, the Daily Mail reports.
Meanwhile, Suvari is set to star alongside Jack Huston, Caterina Murino and Richard E. Grant in 'The Garden of Eden', which is a feature adaptation of an unfinished Ernest Hemingway novel.
The legendary writer died before completing the novel, that was later published in 1986, almost 25 years after his death.
The story is set in the pre-depression jazz era, when a married couple, a pilot-turned-writer and his new wife (Huston and Suvari), go honeymooning to Europe.
The new wife gets a bit suspicious and tries to test her husband's loyalty in several ways and one of her peculiar ways is to bring an Italian lass (Murino) into their bedroom.
The film is produced by Berwick Street Prods and will be filmed in Spain.

The video, which was shot in a Los Angeles warehouse, features Britney pole dancing in a tiny black dress and thigh high boots.
The extras dancing in the video worked for free but Britney had to pay for the rest of the production costs.
A source told E! Online, "There's no real reason for her to pay for a video herself unless it's about creative control.
"If the label pays for the video, they hire the director and the rest of the creative team.
"I suspect this is her wanting to steam ahead and answer her critics now, while her label wants to wait."
Meanwhile, Britney had to rush her new puppy, London, to the vet on Friday.
The mother-of-two looked visibly upset as she drove from her home to the nearby Beverly Hills Small Animal Hospital with the Yorkshire Terrier.
Britney was accompanied by her cousin Alli Sims and sons Sean Preston and Jayden James.
London was seen by a veterinarian and left the hospital 30 minutes later. Sims said, "It was just a check-up. She is OK."
